Join us for an inspiring deep-dive into the craft and business of feature-film story development at this year’s AACTA Festival. In this lively, behind-the-scenes conversation we unpack how a feature project evolves from the first spark of an idea through to market readiness.

Facilitated by Screenworks’ CEO, Lisa O’Meara, the panel will explore the creative decisions, practical pathways and industry insights that shape a successful feature film. Hear how each stage of development is influenced by creative ambition, audience expectations, financing realities and distribution strategy - and how these three key perspectives come together to bring a story to screen.

Perfect for emerging and established practitioners alike, this session will offer honest advice, real-world examples, and a clearer understanding of the collaborative ecosystem behind every great film.
