Felt Hand-Sewn Treasure Crows at Literary Arts! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ 📚 | Ages 6+

It's true, the event has sold out!

SCRAP is thrilled to partner with our neighbor, Literary Arts, for a special collaborative event!

Join us in celebrating the return of the crows! You may have followed crows all around Portland for the upcoming Wildwood film. Now it's your turn to create your own crow with SCRAP and at the Literary Arts bookstore!

Come this Friday to the Literary Arts bookstore & cafe to hand-sew small plush treasure crows! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ Crows love shiny things, so be sure to decorate them with sequins, beads, and trinkets. ✨ Bring a friend! Make a friend! Grab a beverage, browse the books, and gather round to hand-sew some mystical, magical bird plush!

Traceable templates & embroidery stitch print-outs provided. Self-guided & beginner-friendly. A SCRAP educator will be ready to assist newer sewists with hand-sewing basics!

--

Literary Arts will also have a wonderful collection of crow (and raven) books on display—grab your literary inspiration when you drop by to sew! They've also got maps of all the Wildwood crow sculpture locations!

Drop-ins welcome until the end of the event!

4-6pm | Ages 6+. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Materials & tools provided.

Location: The Literary Arts bookstore and cafe at 716 Southeast Grand Ave!

Reserve your seats before the event!

SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expression, so we’re offering tiered ticket options:

• Ambitious Artist ($7) - This ticket reflects the “true value” of the event.

• Patron of the Arts ($10) - Your extra support contributes to continued ticket accessibility — thank you so much!

• Curious Crafter ($5) - Our most accessible option for community members experiencing financial hardship. Also a great option for large families.

If we sell out, we will sell tickets at the door, but keep in mind that Literary Arts is a shared gathering space, so seating availability may vary. Swing by, check out the scene—and if space permits, grab yourself a ticket! However, do bear in mind that we won't be bringing cash to make change, so unless you have exact change or are willing to make a generous roundup (❤️), ticket sales will be mainly digital. Thanks!

Also... if you miss out on crows for this event, you can always grab a ticket for our Bonus Crow-fternoon on Saturday, October 31st!

Questions on the day of the event? Don’t hesitate to call the store (503-294-0769).

All event ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you cannot make it to the event, feel free to send a friend in your place— we’d love to host them! Thank you for understanding and supporting our SCRAPpy little creative reuse non-profit!
