Wendy Bailye is an award-winning Australian contemporary felt artisan and designer.

She runs a vibrant felt art studio, The Felt Studio, from her home in the beautiful Samford Valley a place she has called home for over 40 years. Here she runs workshops as well as working on commissions and refining her personal felt making practice

Wendy’s creative work revolves around her love of textiles and making. She has always been a creative soul and always connected to the marvellous, transformative, and comforting essence of wool.

Making art has always been like breath for her. Her favourite works reference daily life, the textures and patterns of the natural world, particularly her garden, resident birds, and her travels. She works predominately with textiles and handmade felt but also has a mixed media practice which includes painting, printing and jewellery making.
