Arts North West and Moree Shire Plains Council are delivering felt-making workshops in 4 villages in the Moree Shire (Munigidi, Pallamallawar, Boomi, Garah) during May 2023. The Felting Hands of the Moree Plains project will bring people from small communities together for a full day of conversation and creativity.

This series of fun creative workshops will focus on felt-making techniques and will be inspired by gathering and chatting while you are hatting.

Each workshop will be delivered by artist facilitator Joanne Barr who will be accompanied by the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program Coordinator, who will attend all workshops to provide informal support and a point of contact for information and resources on health and wellbeing.

Each workshop will be used to connect with old friends and make new ones, learn new artistic skills, and be creative. Willing participants creative works will be photographed to be placed on the Arts North West website.
