2 Day felt making course:

Join Esther for a weekend of wet felting.

In this 2 day course you will learn how to felt 2D and 3D forms and how to eco print eucalyptus leaves onto your felt to create beautiful colours.

• How to arrange the wool to create an even piece of felt

• How to print leaves onto your felt creating beautiful colours

• How to fold booklets to display your prints

Day 1:

AM

We will start with an overview of the process of felting and an explanation of the equipment we use.

We will make a flat piece of felt, followed by 3D felting using a balloon and resist.

LUNCH

PM

Print leaves onto our felt in the cooking pot then start folding books to glue our prints in later.

Day 2:

AM

Finish making our books and glue in work samples.

PM

Shape or re-shape our 3D felts and look at the designs we printed. Use of natural materials to finish our felted forms.

All materials are provided, however, you can bring leaves and natural materials to add to your design if you like. Eucalyptus leaves print really well on wool.

What to bring:

Please bring a pair of scissors, plastic bottle and an old towel

Included in your weekend is a stayover at the highly rated accommodation Riverview at Ross on the Saturday night
