    Event description

    Friday Night Live@StAndrews is the new version of our previous Sunday Sessions, hosted by the Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre. The venue is situated about 40 kms noth east of Melbourne in the foothills of the Kinglake mountains. We are surrounded by a natural bush environment. Our versatile community facility is transformed into an intimate cafe style venue with a really cool vibe. Our aim is to bring the 'city' acts to the people out here.

    Some of the acts we've enjoyed include;
    Kinematic
    Geoff Achison

    Jeb Cardwell Band

    Khristian Mizzi & Greg Champion, supported by Ryan Sterling

    Luke Sinclair & Matt Dixon
    Charles Jenkins & David Cosma with Nick Caraffa

    For this session we have the talented Fenn Wilson and George Carroll Wilson, playing a solo set each followed by one memorable set together!

    Fenn Wilson’s lyrics turn pain into poetry, laced with light; compassion and wisdom beyond his years imbue every line. He is mesmerising on stage, either solo or surrounded by his skilled and sensitive sidemen, creating thunderstorm dynamics reminiscent of Jeff Buckley. Fenn’s songcraft is astounding; echoes of a young John Martyn or Glenn Hansard filter through in his faultless guitar rhythms and cunning doubling of vocal melodies. Memorable hooks abound, without a trace of gimmick or cliché. And then there’s his voice.

    George Carroll Wilson's solo project Pollyman delivers glam rock hooks and old school looks with a sparkling and original blend of rock and roll and pop through the ages. Inspired by such artists as Jeff Buckley and David Bowie, Pollyman flaunts a defiant sound and exhilarating live performances that leave an indelible mark long after the final note has been played
