Fenton Memorial 2025
Event description
FENTON MEMORIAL 2025
This will be a non-ranking event and following on from the W Dawn in February we plan to host another FUN & FRIENDLY OCCASION. If numbers permit again we would like to trial some variations on the traditional ‘Pool Round followed by Direct Elimination’ format employed in formal ranking competitions.
Depending on entry numbers in the various events we will use formats to try to maximise the amount of fencing for everyone. There will again be chocolate on offer!
Decisions about the format(s) will be made by the DT when numbers of entries for each weapon are clearer, and if possible communicated to fencers before the day.
For the W Dawn, some of the competitions were based on a series of pool rounds, followed by friendly team matches.
For the Fenton the format will be determined by the number of attendees on the day (after new entries, withdrawals etc.)
The objective for the day is to have fun!
