FENTON MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2024
Ranking Competition for Epee Events
Joyce Fenton was a National Womens Foil Champion in the 1960s and represented NZ at Foil in the Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver and in Kingston where she was a bronze medallist as part of the women’s Foil team.
In accordance with the recent FeNZ policy standardising the number of tournaments which can offer Ranking points in each region, the Fenton Memorial Tournament offers NZ Ranking Points in the Epee events but not Sabre or Foil events at this competition.

Registration
Standard registration $30.00 plus booking and cc fees available up to 23.55h on Monday 15th April.
Late entry is $50.00 plus booking and cc fees.
Late entries are subject to availability and at the discretion of the DT. Last entry 23.55h on FRIDAY before the competition (April 19th 2024)
‘Out of Town’ Entries
This applies to any fencer from the FENCING NORTH REGION who does not reside in Auckland.
If you are a Fencing North member who lives outside of the metropolitan Auckland area, please contact the organiser regarding a discount.
Weapons Checking
We will not be doing a full gear check before this competition BUT referees will be employing Weights and Gauges to check Weapons at the piste.
COMPETITION TIMETABLE - DRAFT SCHEDULE
The start times below are only an indication. We will send you notifications of start times for each event when competitor numbers become clear.
A FOOD STALL will be operating during the tournament - More news on that later.
Women’s Epée & Men’s Epée will both start at 11 am [Registration 10.15-10.30]

Affiliation/Membership
To compete in Fencing North competitions you must be affiliated with Fencing New Zealand as a full competitive member. The FeNZ membership starts on 01/JAN and lasts a calendar year. Please always sign up with the same name, otherwise we cannot find you and accredit ranking points.
FeNZ affiliation fees are additional to the competition entry.

PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to view the new FeNZ affiliation number issued to you via Sporty at the moment, but as DT I can access this number via the FeNZ admin portal.
