Sunlight, Soil and Shit - Thursday, 10th of Feb 2022
Event description
Fervor as part of The Contestable Food Systems Symposium: an interdisciplinary meeting on the future of food.
Coming together to share food and wine is the perfect medium for discussion in every part of the world! Join Fervor alongside Perth-based sommelier and wine educator, Trent Everitt; for a five-course paired degustation, in a post-symposium celebration of Sunlight, Soil, and Shit, as we reflect on the important relationships within our food system and how we can imagine things differently going forward to live more harmoniously with nature. Not for Her sake, but for ours.
The dinner will be held in the unique setting of an art installation that explores these contestable food futures.
Fervor is a roaming restaurant that focuses its meals around Native Australian ingredients. These foods have been growing in Australia, governed by Aboriginal Culture for thousands of years with minimal intervention. We believe that preserving these foods and this culture is an incredibly important part when looking at the future of food in Australia.
Wines will be carefully selected by Trent to match the unique flavours of the Fervor Kitchen. They will be delicious and unique wines, made with an ethos of submitting to the vagaries of nature rather than being made to fit a desired “style” for the mass market. They will; in their own way, tell stories of the seasons, and the soil.
