About Youth Dance Makers Initiative:

Since launching our very first project 4 years ago, Youth Dance Makers Initiative has grown from a school holiday dance program into a community for young artists exploring dance, cross-artform collaboration and contemporary performance making.

We have created a live dance work, performed at a national festival, run workshops with high profile independent choreographers, toured interstate, seen shows together, created a film that was submitted to 20 film festivals internationally and are now governed by a collective of young emerging artists who want to see YDMI thrive in it's mission to support young artists connect and create.
