Join Australia's Largest Tor-Tor Flash Mob!
Following the success of last year's flash mob, Festival Indonesia 2023 will once again hold Australian largest flash mob for one of the Indonesian traditional dances, Tor-tor.
Tor-tor dance holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for the native Batak people of North Sumatra, Indonesia. This dance is characterised by synchronised body movements following the rhythm, focusing on hands, feet, soles and shoulders.
The Tor-tor dance serves as a medium to convey their prayers and desires. It's rooted in unity, brotherhood and collaborative efforts for the common good.
To participate, simply register yourself for free or $15 to receive a hand-woven ulos (limited number).
