Festival of Australian Music

FOAM Festival of Australian Music returns for two inspiring days of music, creativity, and connection on 31 July and 1 August 2026.

Presenters include acclaimed Australian music advocates Joe Twist and Rob Davidson. FOAM brings together artists, audiences, educators, composers, conductors, and music lovers for a dynamic festival celebrating Australian music and storytelling.

Participate in the Full Festival, sing in the Massed Festival choir, rehearsed and conducted by two iconic Australian composers who will conduct one of their own works, join in workshops with Sally Whitwell, Joe Twist and Rob Davidson and attend 4 concerts.

Friday 7pm concert - Birralee Singers, Aura Consort and Brisbane Chamber Choir.

Saturday 12.30pm concert - Windsor SS Chamber Choir, TSAC Chorale, and Fairholme College Choir.

Saturday 3pm concert - The Australian Voices, The Grammarphones, Centenary Junior Choir and Centenary Senior Choir.

Saturday 7pm Gala concert - St Peters Chorale, Lumens Chamber Choir, followed by the Brisbane Chamber Choir and The Australian Voices combining to perform Stephen Leek's There is Music, commissioned by BCC last year, with the finale being the massed Festival Choir.

As a full Festival Participant across two days, you will experience:
• 4 live concerts featuring outstanding Australian repertoire and performers
• up to 6 engaging workshops exploring creativity, composition, performance, leadership, and the future of Australian music
• Rehearsals in the massed Festival choir and a performance with this choir in the closing Gala concert, plus catering throughout the event.

FOAM is providing up to 17 hours of teacher professional development with a certificate of completion.
