Embark on an unforgettable journey with the Capital Region Community Services Festival Series! Join us as we invite you to get out of Canberra and experience the wonderful Festival and events that the towns around us have to offer. Get ready to experience the vibrant and rich culture, history and life of the towns that helped shape the country we all love.Â
One of the featured destinations in our Festival Series is The Goulburn Lilac City Festival is Australia's longest continuously run community festival. It was established in 1951 and has occurred annually, every October long weekend ever since. The festival is outdoors to celebrate Goulburn in the spring once again by welcoming a myriad of Carnival Rides, festival markets, music and busking, art display and the Goulburn Club, flowers, and heritage celebrations of Goulburn for the whole weekend. A traditional shop-front competition will have the City’s Auburn Street dotted with lilac windows while the central Belmore Park will be green, blossoming and air abuzz.

Our departure and drop off points for this trip will be:
- 3:00 pm departure from Goulburn, arriving in Canberra from 5:00pm.
Please make sure to be in your selected location in time for departure.
The journey begins with departure from Humpy Hall, followed by a pick-up at Belconnen Community Centre.
