FESTIVALE FAQs

1. Do I need to pre-purchase tickets?

You don’t need to pre-purchase tickets to come to Festivale du Minimbah. If families buy tickets in advance they will be supporting the Minimbah Parents and Friends Group (PFG) secure the food and drinks for the event, and pay external suppliers. We really appreciate the support.

  • Adult ticketholders will receive $35 Bajillion Minimbucks to spend on food, drinks and games*
  • Students will receive $10 Bajillion Minimbucks and a wristband that allows unlimited play at our carnival stalls
  • Grandparents receive $20 Bajillion Minimbucks to spend on food, drinks and games*
  • Family ticketholders will receive $90 Bajilliion Minimbucks*

*All ticketholders will receive a wristband allowing unlimited play at carnival stalls

    2. What do my Minimbucks get me?

Minimbucks can be used to purchase sausages, beef rolls, drinks (including alcoholic beverages at the Parent Pad), ice creams, slushies, fairy floss and items at our Cake Stall. You and your kids can also spend your Minimbucks on a selection of prize games (Chocolate Toss and Lolly Guesses) and the photo booth too!
The Flying Calamari Brothers and Gozleme Queen food trucks are external vendors and won’t accept Minimbucks.

    3. Is there free stuff?

Absolutely! All tickets will give wristband-wearing kids (and big kids) access to games such as our 9-hole putt-putt course, lawn games of Jenga, Connect Four and the Corn Hole Toss. There's also The Reel Deal, the strength test of the kids or adult Strikers, your speed on the Frog Jump machine, and try to drench Minimbah alumni at the Zombie Splash. Play The Mini Masters, our 9-hole putt-putt course and shoot for the stars at the Asteroid Blaster game. Stage performances, the magician act and our wonderful roving circus tricksters can all be enjoyed for free.

    4. Prizes? What prizes?

Of course there’s prizes! To make the games more fun we've gathered a stash of prizes for the Prize Stall! Of course we've done our best to collect low-plastic and sustainable offerings. Some of the games will be trickier for the younger children and we'll try to make sure that everybody has a good chance of winning a prize.

    5. Will there be rides?

Well, not in the same way as the last fair in 2019. The risks associated with inflatable and motorized rides are too significant, hence our pivot to the "county fair" theme.

    6. Why are parents being asked to help? Does that mean me?

As the students, teachers and PFG members will be hosting our stalls, activities and most of the food offerings, we'd dearly love your assistance for one hour of the Festivale (no need to help out multiple classes if you have several children at the school).
Understanding the demands of young children, we realise this may not be possible for some.

    7. Where do the proceeds go?

First and foremost, the tickets and purchases made at the Festivale pay for the cost of putting on this amazing evening for our children, friends and families. Bringing our community together to have heaps of fun is our number one priority!

Additional funds raised will go towards PFG events throughout the year, including the Cross Country Sausage Sizzle, the School Disco, Mother’s Day Celebration, Fathers Day Breakfast and the Beach Picnic days at the end of the year. There are many smaller events the PFG hosts for the children throughout the year (eg. fruit platters and icy poles at the Mini Olympics, meat pies on Footy Day) that are also covered by our fundraising efforts. All funds raised by the raffle will go towards upgrading the AV equipment in the Hall.
