Festive Crafts Without the Waste
Event description
The average Australia household increases its waste output by around 30% during the festive season, which puts a bit of a tarnish on celebrations. So how can you reduce your waste without missing out on the traditions you love, while still enjoying the excitement of creating and using festive decorations?
This free hands-on workshop touches on ways to decorate your home during the festive season without adding to the global waste crisis. You will learn basic crafting skills which allow you to transform any old unwanted clothing or fabrics into gorgeous hanging ornaments to use as decorations or gifts. Some homemade festive snacks will be supplied during the presentation, and you will take home what you make as well as instructions to continue crafting at home.
