Description

Why not create your own unique, vintage inspired wreath out of hessian and upcycled fabrics?

Come along to our festive workshop and learn the traditional craft of rag rugging. Using hessian, an old-fashioned rag rugging tool and a combination of t-shirt material, old silks, ribbon and lots of other fabrics, you’ll learn how to design a wreath that you can use again and again.

During the workshop we’ll introduce you to the age-old technique of shaggy rag rugging and also teach you how to cut the fabric strips, bind edges and finish your wreath.

If you'd like to make a wreath in a different colour scheme, just let us know in advance and we'll do our best to find appropriate fabrics.

The class is suitable for both beginners and people who’ve done some rag rugging before.

All materials and use of tools are included (though of course you’re welcome to bring any fabrics and decorations of your own too), together with refreshments.

The class will be run by Ann and Catherine from Handmade Workshops.

“a really enjoyable afternoon. I love my wreath and will hang it with pride on my door”

“enjoyed every minute of the workshop. Therapeutic for me!”
