Fet Bel Fam
Event description
The power of woman is strong and alive and feast days like Fet Bel Fam enable us to remember what this is all about.
This event in two parts, invite you to celebrate yourself or the women in your life through story, ceremony, celebration and remembering.
You can take part in:
PATAKI (6-7PM).
Pataki is a teaching story and stems from Ifa (which is of the traditions of Yoruba from African descent).
This storytelling will be about "Woman - and the power of the Ruffled Skirt".
(CEREMONY 7.30-9PM)
Ceremony includes donations and gifts to the altar in reciprocity to ask for prayers. From this you are able to collect a dressed candle and light it for ceremony. In ceremony there are blessings, meditative space with song or sound (or both) and an opportunity to put down further prayers for the collective.
What to bring?
Bring yourself in white clothing or bright colour or any way you wish to adorn yourself. Bring gifts for the altar (when purchasing a ticket, I can send you information about this).
Ceremony is not for small children to attend.
Please book your ticket to secure your space. Limited spaces available for both Pataki & Ceremony.
