Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Informational

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act compensates individuals who developed certain cancers and other diseases due to radiation exposure from US nuclear weapons testing or uranium mining. Current and former St. Louis County residents, and individuals who lived, worked, or attended school in impacted zip codes for more than two years after January 1, 1949 and have contracted certain cancers after living, working or attending school in the impacted zip code two years prior to their diagnosis will be eligible to receive compensation.
