Event description

A fun, fluffy, fibre workshop for school age children!

We will experiment and play with yarn, fibre, NZ made and recycled materials, learning how to mindfully craft while making cute projects!

In this class your child will be guided by Textile Designer and sustainability advocate, Sophie, to make pompom pets or sweet pen toppers, while learning about different fibres and how they are made.

Slow, simple crafts are a great way for children (and adults!) to bring balance to the nervous system and to digest thoughts and ideas away from the input of screens.

Mindful creativity is a brilliant skill to learn, helping with regulation, fidgity hands or simply to enjoy completing a project!

I'll also be showing your young ones how to use their new pets as aromatherapy diffusers for a great way to support mood and emotions!

Materials & hot choccie will be provided.

Please arrive by 11:25 to allow for signing in and settling
