Healthy Hectares

Wodonga Urban Landcare Network (WULN) invites you to a practical field day for farmers and landholders with Uncle Allan Murray from the Duduroa Dhargal Aboriginal Corporation.

Learn how the project at Ryans Lagoon Nature Conservation Reserve is helping to restore Country while supporting ongoing cultural practices.

This field day will explore traditional approaches to land management and how they can be integrated into property management.

Topics include:

• Weed management

• Cultural burning and fire management

• Wetland management and environmental watering

• Planting and revegetation

• Cultural heritage assessment

• Understanding local vegetation, wildlife and climate

When: Thursday 29 October 10.30 am - 1.30 pm (including lunch)

Where: Duduroa Dhargal Aboriginal Corporation, Ryans Lagoon, 138 Ryans Road, Bonegilla Vic

The event will be held mostly outside, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
