Film Screening: Eksil (The Exiles)
Event description
Eksil (The Exiles) is an award-winning documentary movie about ten Indonesian exiles who have been living in Europe for the past 60 years. They were students who studying abroad under the then Indonesian civil service bond (Mahasiswa Ikatan Dinas/MAHID) and were unable to return to Indonesia after the events of 1965.
The screening will be followed by an insightful Q&A with the film director Lola Amaria
