Film Screening: Fighting Giants with Kimberley Traditional Owners

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Mangala Traditional Owners Nuriah and Madeline Jadai will be travelling from the Kimberley in Western Australia to join us at this special screening of new documentary Fighting Giants.

The Kimberley in Western Australia is full to the brim with some of the world’s most extensive intact natural landscapes, coupled with the rich culture of its Aboriginal custodians.

Fracking companies are the closest they've ever been to turning the region into an industrial wasteland. So Lock the Gate Alliance teamed up with Kimberley Traditional Owners, climate scientists and economists from The Australia Institute to produce a new film.

‘Fighting Giants’ is a rallying call to defend so much that West Australians value: the stunning, intact landscapes of the Kimberley, our fragile climate, and Aboriginal culture and land.

Ticket sales help cover costs of the screening.

The venue is fully accessible.

Event starts at 6.30pm, doors open from 6.00pm.
