Film Screening | The Bamboo Dialogues
Event description
Join us for this screening of 'The Bamboo Dialogues'!
The Bamboo Dialogues seeks to answer the questions: What is this material? and Why are we not using more of it in contemporary design, engineering, and architecture? The film seeks to amplify the soft voice and show possibilities and challenges for this miracle plant. Best bamboo practices are mostly found: off the beaten track; away from trendsetting metropolises; in remote, and peripheral locations.

The film’s narrative is told by “bamboo whisperers”: engineers, artisans, architects, designers, historians, biologists span five continents. The production of the film took more than three years and it was built upon a material that is partially crowdsourced.
