Queerscreen Short Shorts

Coastal Twist Festival is proud to provide closed caption viewing on all our films for hearing impaired patrons and better experiences for all so you can read what you can’t hear and enjoy the latest movies!

Join us for Short Shorts, a beloved event as Queerscreen returns to C-Town with a delightful showcase of short films from across the globe! Get ready to laugh, cry, learn, and smile as we present an evening that promises serious goosebumps and a feast for the eyes, heart, and palette.

After a fulfilling day at Coastie Carnie Fair Day—where you've enjoyed people-watching, supported local vendors, and connected with the community—let's wind down and toast the Coastal Twist Festival. Head over to the Surf Club for chill-out tunes and sunset drinks over the ocean. Because who doesn’t love a “Big Deck” with panoramic views!

This Queer Screen session is open to ages 15+ and offers an inclusive experience for all. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere, feel the vibes with a DJ, and listen to the soothing crash of waves on Umina Beach. The venue is accessible, and 90% of the films are captioned or subtitled for enhanced accessibility.

Relax and indulge in a scrumptious feast with a twist, freshly prepared and served by your local surf club. Here’s what’s on the agenda:

Enjoy discounted drinks on the expansive deck.
Groove to chill-out tunes curated by a DJ.
Opt for a delicious dinner if you choose.
Experience QueerScreen’s selection of curated short films.
Movies start when the sun sets.

This event sells out annually, so don't miss out! Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

Join us for an evening that promises to be a sensory delight—an unforgettable combination of film, music, ocean views, culinary treats & most of all, COMMUNITY. Truly, a feast for the eyes, heart, and palate!

This is a 15+ event in a fully accessible venue.
