Summer School Holidays At Filmbites!

Throughout January Filmbites are hosting workshops to keep kids entertained from ages 7 - 18. Create Forensic Style wounds in our Makeup SFX Workshop, make a movie over 3 days in our 'Make a Movie' Workshop, or have a unique opportunity for a casting and headshot workshop. 

Makeup SFX 

Monday 8th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 9 - 16) Time: 11am - 1pm. Doors Open: 10:45am, Doors close: 1:15pm. 

Taught by industry professional Stephanie Davis, learn the technical skills of Makeup SFX through the fun of doing it!

Game Design 

Wednesday 10th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 8 -12) Time: 10am - 3pm. Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

Why just play games when you can learn how to make them. In this workshop you’ll learn how to make 3 different types of games, using Gamemaker software, then get to play each others games. Super fun day for gamers!

Junior Screen Acting (Malaga)

Monday 15th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 8 -12) Time: 10am - 3pm. Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

This workshop is an introduction to acting in front of the camera! If you want to learn the important differences between stage and screen acting through creating your own scene this workshop is for you. 

Make A Movie (Additional Date)

Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 10 - 16) Time: 10am - 3pm (Each Day) Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

For the first time in over a year, Filmbites is running our 3 day 'Make a Movie' workshop! At the end of the three days participants will walk away with their own group film as well as the skills to plan, film and edit a short film. 

Casting and Selftape Workshop

Tuesday 16th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 13 - 17) Time: 10am - 3pm. Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

An all in one stop workshop for casting - learn the ins and outs of self taping and auditions with Filmbites head of acting!

Green Screen 

Thursday 18th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 9 - 15) Time: 10am - 3pm. Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

Be a part of both the crew and cast by devising and filming short scenes in Filmbites’ very own green screen studio. Then, head into the computer lab to learn, hands-on, how to add your very own special effects from industry professionals.

Animation

Friday 19th of January @ Filmbites Screen Academy - 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. (Ages 8 -12) Time: 10am - 3pm. Doors open: 9:45am, Doors close: 3:15pm. 

Learn the interface and navigation for Tahoma, a free software you can learn to use to create super fun animations. This is an exceptional skill to learn if you ever wish to work in the growing entertainment, content creation and resources industries.
