Are you interested in making a short film? 

...perhaps for the Creative Wollongong Short Film Competition closing on 31st July 2024.


Calling all young people 12-24 years

Do you want some ideas and tips on how to start, edit, and capture great stories? 

Come and join us, you don’t need any special equipment. A smartphone can do the job, or you might have a digital video camera or SLR that has video capabilities. 

Bring any questions, projects or ideas you may have or start from scratch and learn the basics. 

4-week FREE mini course. Commitment is to attend for 4 weeks. 

19 March, 5.00-6.00pm 

26 March, 5.00pm-6.30pm  

2 April, 5.00-6.30pm

9 April, 5.00-6.30pm

* Note: First workshop is 5pm - 6pm, 1 hour only.

These workshops may involve a minimal amount of walking depending on participants learning needs and requests. 

Facilitator: Phil Crawford of coequal

Phil’s unconventional approach to making film and digital media work is exemplified by the many Film industry awards he has received. 

Phil recently received an Australian Podcast Award (The Specialist Award) for an indie podcast and has had works screened at national and international festivals, screened on ARTE in Europe, Channel 4 in the UK, SBS and ABC in Australia.
