Filmmaking Holiday Programme - Devonport

Show Me Shorts is delighted to present a Filmmaking Holiday Programme for tamariki aged 8-13-years-old, and year level 4-8 in Auckland.

Our team will be working with a group of children to make a short film together and learning along the way.

During the course your children will be guided to learn valuable filmmaking skills such as directing, acting, camera operating, lighting, costuming and making props. They will get creative with hands-on exercises, testing ideas, practicing cooperation and building confidence.

The films made as part of the course will be screened at a cinema as part of Show Me Shorts Film Festival in October.

Once you've purchased your child's place in our Holiday Filmmaking Programme, we will ask you to fill out a registration form (which includes health and safety information to keep your child safe) and also the below waiver:

I grant consent for my child to take part in the Filmmaking Holiday Programme run by Show Me Shorts Film Festival Trust. I grant permission to capture photographs, video and audio recordings of my child and their work for use in future promotion for the completed short film, this course, funding applications and reporting. I acknowledge that during the course my child may create artistic works such as scripts, storyboards, props, costumes, posters and tickets, as well as the short film, and that Show Me Shorts Film Festival will retain the copyright of all artistic works. I agree that these materials may be used in printed publications as well as on websites and social media for the purposes outlined above. I agree that items might not appear in exactly their original form and not every item for which permission is granted will be used.
