Films and Framebags
Description
Join us for another edition of 'Films and Framebags'; a celebration of all things bikepacking.
Arrive from 5.30pm to grab yourself a beer and a pizza. We'll fire up the projector at 6.00pm.
This month we'll be showing the short film, 'Mountains and Trees'. This film provides an insight into Nelson Trees, the person behind the Mountain Races series. This series began in 2018 in Kyrgyzstan and has since expanded to Morocco, Greece and Turkiye, developing a reputation for including some of the most inspiring ultra distance cycling races in the world. Released earlier this year, the film explores why people attempt these types of races with no prize money, what they learn, and what they experience in the remote places that host the events.
Following the film, there will be a review of this year's Silk Road Mountain Race, with tales from the route, a bike and gear breakdown, and a Q&A session.
We will finish the eveing with a preview of some of the bikepacking events coming up in Tasmania over the next few months!
We will also have a display table featuring some new and exciting products to enhance your bikepacking trips thanks to MyRide Launceston.
Space is limited so register early.
