Welcome to the Women's Innovation Network NT (WINNT) - A Bold New Era for Women In STEAMM+

Founded by the NT Government and now operating as a community-led initiative by Actio Group AU, WINNT’s focus is on creating meaningful spaces where women in innovation can connect, collaborate, and thrive — whether they’re early in their career, founding a startup, working in industry, or just starting to explore what’s possible.

We’re not a formal membership organisation (yet).

Our first year is about building momentum — through inclusive events, strategic partnerships, and public visibility.

From coffee catch-ups to curated panels and flagship experiences, WINNT is about connection before structure.

It’s about creating the ecosystem women want to be part of. And you're invited to help us build it.

WINNT is more than a networking group — it’s a Territory-first initiative designed to create visibility, connection, and opportunity for women in innovation. Our events and programs are designed to:

Connect: Build meaningful networks across STEAMM, business, and government.
Support: Provide access to mentoring, collaboration, and professional development.
Elevate: Spotlight women’s contributions in innovation through inclusive events, storytelling, and community engagement.
Inspire: Spark bold ideas and cross-sector collaboration in a Territory-rooted, future-focused space.

Our Vision Is Built on Five Key Pillars:

Please can you make this a slider or collapsible function if possible?

1. Representation & Visibility
Increasing the presence of women in STEAMM by elevating Territory voices, promoting leadership, and making women’s work more visible across sectors.

2. Empowerment & Opportunity
Providing tangible support for women in innovation — from aspiring entrepreneurs and students to established professionals — through networking, skills sharing, and thought leadership.

3. Collaboration & Growth
Growing a connected innovation ecosystem across the NT by building relationships between government, industry, education, and community.

4. Economic Impact
Positioning women-led innovation as a driver of economic growth, investment, and Territory-first commercialisation in sectors like agriculture, energy, tech, health, and more.

5. FutureHER
Our long-term commitment to the next generation. We aim to inspire young women and girls across the Territory by showing them that they have a place — and a future — in STEAMM+.

Our annual event calendar includes:

First Light: monthly morning networking sessions
Residual Heat: monthly evening networking sessions
Quarterly Lunch & Learn panels: aligned with key industry milestones
Flagship events: large-scale activations that bring the NT innovation community together

These events are open to the public and designed to support women and champions of women across STEAMM, startups, and the broader innovation space.

Whether you’re a founder, researcher, creative, policymaker, educator, or student — you’re welcome here.
