Find Your Sound! Open Week at the Central Coast Conservatorium

🥁 Percussion Lab Experience - Drumkit (9-12 years) Intermediate +

Step into the world of rhythm in our Percussion Lab ensemble experience - a dynamic experience for primary school-aged students.

This exciting session gives students the chance to explore a wide range of percussion instruments.

Students will be grouped by age and experience level to ensure the best learning environment:

✔ Intermediate+ -  for students with a solid rhythmic understanding of tuned or untuned percussion

Throughout the session, students will:
✨ Refine ensemble awareness and listening skills
✨ Strengthen rhythmic accuracy and coordination
✨ Explore more complex patterns and musical textures
✨ Develop confidence performing within a group setting
✨ Experience the energy and discipline of a real ensemble environment

This workshop is designed for students ready to build on their existing skills, challenge themselves musically, and connect with other percussionists in a dynamic, hands-on setting.

The goal is to make music together at a higher level, deepen coordination, and enjoy the process of playing in an ensemble.

Drums are an extension of your body, when your rhythm is internalised, your playing becomes effortless and expressive.

🎶 Come and find your rhythm! Spaces are limited - register now.

**Students may also like to register for the Timpani and orchestral percussion lab at 9:30am. Including xylophone, glockenspiel, marimba, windchimes, tam tam, gong and more. Please register separately for this session.
