Find Your Professional Voice: Speak Up at Work
Why do we train our bodies but not our voices?
You know your work. You have the ideas, the experience and the seat at the table.
You don't love being talked over, watching someone else land your point, or feeling your voice tighten the moment it matters.
You're in the right place.
About Vocal Playground
Most of us haven't changed how we use our voices since our teens. Since then, we've improvised our way through every pitch, meeting and hard conversation.
High-stakes moments are a poor place to start learning. Vocal training can't happen in a tense, stressful environment, so ours starts in a playground.
As kids, we learned to trip and fall on the playground, dust ourselves off and get back to playing. As adults, we've lost that. We stop experimenting, we stop making noise, and every mistake feels like a verdict.
At Vocal Playground, we give you that back. We'll try things, make mistakes, we laugh about it and go again. So, by the time the stakes are real, your voice already knows what to do.
The problems we'll help you navigate:
"I have good ideas, but someone else says them louder and gets the credit."
Practise entering a fast-moving conversation and holding the floor
Learn to share an idea so it lands and stays yours
Build pacing and pause skills so people wait for your point
"My voice tightens the moment I disagree with someone senior."
Breath and voice techniques that keep you steady under pressure
Rehearse pushing back, asking for what you need and giving updates with authority
Practise recovering when you get interrupted or your mind goes blank
"I've never had voice training. Will I be out of my depth?"
No experience needed
Small, super supportive room of people working on the same thing
Vocal coaching from Helen and pitch-room feedback from Sarah at every step
"I came to the first workshop. Is this more of the same?"
The first session built the foundation of breath, steadiness and presence
This one puts that foundation under real workplace pressure
New to us? We cover the basics as we go, so you can start here
"I want something I can use on Monday, not theory I'll forget."
Leave with techniques for your very next meeting
Identify your natural communication style and how to use it on purpose
Practise realistic workplace scenarios, so it holds up outside the room
"Can I bring my team?"
Yes. It suits teams and leadership groups who want to communicate with more clarity and confidence
