Finding Safety Insights Forum 2026: Faith in Action II

Join us for the third annual Finding Safety Insights Forum, a free community event exploring the important role faith communities play in preventing gender-based violence and supporting women affected by it.

This year's theme is Faith in Action II: The Role of Religious Communities in the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence.

We are holding Part II of this theme, building on the strong feedback we received from last year's event and requests to continue the conversation about how faith-based groups can work together to prevent gender-based violence.

We are looking forward to bringing together faith leaders, professionals, advocates, and women with lived experience to discuss practical ways faith communities can create safer, more supportive environments that keep women safe from violence.

This is a free, full-day event including morning-tea and lunch. Please register as places will fill quickly.

About the Finding Safety Project: The Finding Safety Project is a specialist program operated by Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Australia from our Women's Space in Western Sydney. Through the Women's Space, we serve, accompany and advocate for women on temporary visas who are facing gender-based violence.

The Finding Safety Project offers specialist casework, housing support, emergency relief, and community programs, so women can come together, find safety and rebuild their lives in Australia.

The Finding Safety Project hosts a forum each year, to centre these women, their stories, their expertise and their safety, and build a community dedicated to supporting their rights, leadership, and safety from violence.
