Event description
In this workshop we will be exploring your Eldership 'Voice'.
Our voice isn't only the sound that comes from our mouth. Our 'Voice' is an expression of our unique presence and vibe that communicates who we are and what we believe. When we are connected to our authentic voice it creates a deep resonance that others not only hear but can feel.
Our voice emerges through our relationship with our 'Mother'. It's the sound and resonance of our mother's voice that we hear first and it's her that we tune into and synchronise with as we begin to learn to find our own.
It's in our Eldership that we need to find our own 'Unique Voice'. We need to become more visible and seen. But how do we do that?
The journey to finding your voice and becoming more visible can trigger fear. Often it's our psychic wounds that affect our ability to find and hear our own unique 'inner' voice and find the courage to be authentic and speak our truth.
Our voice is integrally connected to our hearing. Our ears are a complex organ that's responsible for processing more than 80% of the sensory messages we receive from the brain and they are the most powerful sensory integration organ in the body. These psychic wounds can often block our capacity to hear our own inner voice and therefore find it hard to speak (both literally or in written form).
This workshop aims to explore the importance and journey to finding your unique eldership voice.
Using my own experience of studying voice work and presence in theatre, together we will discuss and explore:
- The link between the 'Voice', the 'Body' and the 'Breath'
- The three circles of 'Presence'
- Finding your unique 'Point of View' and Becoming visible
There will be three newsletters that cover each of these themes as preparation and reading for the workshop. If you are not in the Elders Community and would like to join and receive these newsletters you can sign up here:
