Finishing with Farmgate: Feed, Markets & Profit

If you are considering finishing lambs or cattle this year, this is an event not to be missed.

Join Farmgate Stockfeeds for an informative afternoon exploring the key factors influencing successful livestock finishing — from market forecasts and feeding strategies to advanced nutrition, feed efficiency and profitability.

Simon Quilty will discuss the current lamb and beef markets, including market trends, forecast prices and what may be ahead for producers. Simon will also share insights into consumer trends and what domestic and international consumers are seeking, and how these trends may influence opportunities for Australian livestock producers.

Ian Sawyer from Feedworks will explore the latest developments in feeding technology and the drive to remove antibiotics and ionophores from the food chain, discussing new approaches and advances in livestock nutrition.

Hannah Torney & Craig Bennett from Farmgate Stockfeeds will explore finishing and the economics of feed conversion, including how improved feed efficiency can reduce the cost of production and improve overall returns. They’ll also discuss the importance of quality, consistency, nutrition and animal performance — and why choosing the right feed partner can make a real difference to your bottom line.

The afternoon will also feature a panel discussion with current Farmgate clients, sharing first-hand experiences of feeding with Farmgate, the results being achieved on farm and the importance of quality, consistency and reliable service. It will be an opportunity for an open and practical discussion about what works, what producers value and how Farmgate supports its clients from feed through to finish.

With a great line-up of industry expertise, market intelligence and practical feeding knowledge, this afternoon is designed to give producers valuable information to help make informed feeding decisions and maximise opportunities when finishing livestock.

Afternoon tea and drinks will be provided.

The event is free to attend, with places limited to livestock producers and their teams. If you are a service provider or competing business and would like to attend, please contact the Farmgate team prior to registering.

Registration is essential.
