"Lush dystopian revelβ
JoinΒ Finn Alexander and the Forever PartyΒ perform Friday 5th July at Gatsbys Skyline inΒ Manjimup to celebrate the release of their debut album βParty Onβ.
In the realm of alt-rock, Finn Alexander and the Forever Party chart a brooding musical course that explores the depths of being human.
Led by magnetic frontman Alexander, they are a band bursting with heart. With four singles, two music videos, sold out headline shows, and acclaimed appearances at Bunbury Fringe Festival and Fremantle Winter Music Festival within the last 12 months - the six-piece embark on their first West Australian Tour.
"Party On" is available everywhere June 21st.
"Singer-songwriter Finn Pearson has steadily built himself a reputation as one of WAβs hardest working musicians. Establishing himself as a prolific multi-instrumentalist playing with the likes of Siobhan Cotchin, Finn has spent the past couple of years oscillating between extensive solo touring, playing packed-out full band shows in Perth which include a slot at Out of the Woods Festival, support for Kingswood on their WA run, and shows with rock-royalty The Southern River Band all around the South West.Β
Against a backdrop of West Australian scenery, from sprawling suburban developments to desolate windswept highways, Pearsonβs songs track the messy dichotomies of humanity: love and darkness, obsession and yearning; beauty and rage. Classic Australian influences such as Paul Kelly and Cold Chisel meet the lyrical potency of Leonard Cohen, resulting in a folk-rock sound thatβs both intensely nostalgic and recognisably contemporary."
