Event description

“Fire is a global problem and is only going to increase with climate change” says Prof Mike Clarke.

In this workshop Prof Clarke will share research covering 10 years of study.  The relationship between birds, reptiles, mammals, insects and plants in relation to how long since sites had been burnt was studied.

Prof Mike Clarke is Emeritus Professor of Zoology at La Trobe University. He has a long-standing interest in the impact of fire upon fauna. In 2010 he appeared as an expert witness in fire ecology at the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.
