Hopetoun First Aid Course

Important Information -

• There are no pre-requisites for the course, but participants will be required to kneel for CPR and AED use. 

• Participants will be required to provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you don’t already have a USI, it can be created here: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi 

• Participants will also be required to provide valid photo ID.

• This training is provided thanks to First Quantum Minerals and Fitzgerald Business Network.

• Please do not book if you are uncertain that you can fully participate in this full day course. 

• Making a booking requires a commitment to attendance.

• If you only require CPR renewal, please book as usual. CPR only participants will be released once they have completed (approx 4 hours).

The course we are offering is fully accredited HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid. 

Upon completion the units awarded will be:

• HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

• HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

• HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Participants will be emailed a certificate following successful completion of the course.

• Allergic reaction and anaphylaxis

• Cardiac conditions / chest pain

Trauma

• Bleeding – life threatening and non life threatening

• Choking

• Shock

• Sharps Injury

• Nosebleed

• Eye injury

• Fractures, dislocations, strains, sprains

• Head, neck and spinal injury

• Minor wounds

Environmental

• Drowning

• Envenomation

• Hypothermia / Hyperthermia

• Poisoning
