First Nations Anti-racism Symposium

A forum to celebrate and engage with research and initiatives from across the University of Sydney that address racism affecting First Nations students and staff at structural, institutional, and interpersonal levels. 

Through presentations and panel discussions (including Q&A sessions) attendees will hear from experts addressing racism within a university context and explore practical approaches to operationalising anti-racism principles and practices. The symposium will showcase the application of strategies, research, and initiatives that support First Nations peoples across academic disciplines and service delivery areas. Topics include:

• Indigenising curriculum

• Truth telling initiatives across disciplines

• Creating spaces for safety and healing

• University services and policies to support First Nations students and staff
