      FIRST NATIONS ART TOUR - General Public Date: Wednesday May 28th Time: 09:30 to 12:30 Location: Tour departs from Station Place [eastern entrance to Werribee Train Station] This tour is open to everyone - BUT TICKETS ARE LIMITED! The FIRST NATIONS ART TOURs return for 2025! Connect, learn and experience together. Meeting and beginning the tour at Peter Waples-Crowe's artwork 'AFFIRM' - the last chance to see this iconic artwork by Peter work before a new First Nations commission takes it's place in early July. This tour also includes three new public artworks created as part of Wyndham Arts First Nations programming including the community-created mural at Wunggurrwil Dhurrung (in partnership with Koling wada-gnal Aboriginal Corporation). This public tour offers an opportunity to engage with First Nations art and stories across Bunurong and Waddawurrung lands and the Wyndham landscape. Transport and lunch provided (at Wunggurrwil Dhurrung, the last stop) with return transport to Werribee Station. Contribute, learn skills and connect with other Mob. Please note: This workshop is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples only who are Wyndham First Nations community members and/or who have connection to this community, the Wyndham area, Bunurong Country and/or Waddawurrung Country. In this session you will: > learn about the mural project, how you can contribute, and begin forming the idea for your contribution to the mural. > meet the artist facilitators/mentors including this sessions special guest Mark Aidone of MAMAN. Each session is supported by: 2 deadly artists who are in the process of making public artworks in Wyndham: > Dr Peta Clancy (Yorta Yorta) > Dale Collier (Wiradjuri and Northern European heritage) And guided by digital art specialist, artist and academic Andrea Draper (Burmese / Australia) and First Nations Creative arts officer / artist Steven Rhall (Taungurung). All First Nations community members are invited to the first MOB FORST MOB FED, an ongoing series of exclusive previews and special events at Wyndham Art Gallery. For this MOB FORST MOB FED, after being welcomed to Bunurong Country, be the first to see the "JXSH MVIR: Forever I Live" exhibition featuring the work of renowned artist, the late proud Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Barkindji artist Josh Muir. This MOB FORST MOB FED includes: > Exclusive exhibition walk-through and behind the scenes tour of the newly renovated Cultural Centre. > A deadly feed and chance to catch up and yarn/connect > Optional: Free tickets to that evening's special live musical event with Deadly musicians (line up to be announced on April 28th).
