First Nations Workshop: Building Connections to Boost Your Career

The First Nations Building Connections to Boost Your Career workshop is an exciting opportunity for First Nations filmmakers at any stage of their career to learn how to build strategic and meaningful professional networks and pathways to work in the Australian screen industry. The workshop will focus on career development pathways.
Presented by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC), this workshop will cover a range of topics including:
- Introduction to the SAFC
- Personal skills audit
- Approaching mentors and networking opportunities
- Pathways to work
SAFC First Nations Executive Tyme Childs and SAFC Industry Development and Training Executive Kath McIntyre will lead the workshop, and participants will also hear from First Nations working in the screen industry on their pathways into the sector.
A light supper will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: The Building Connections to Boost Your Career workshop is open to SA First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) practitioners only. By registering for this workshop you confirm that you identify as a First Nations person (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander).
