YWCA Australia are pleased to deliver a free First Nations Women’s Leadership 1 Day workshop.
The First Nations Women’s Leadership Program (FNWLP) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to recognise and draw on their inherent knowledge and leadership skills and connect with others, and to become strong advocates for and within their community.
The program is an immersive group experience for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, aged 16-30 who have experienced or are at risk of housing insecurity, homelessness, and/or family and domestic violence.
The 1 day workshop will support you to:
- Grow your confidence
- Cultivate your inner strengths
- Connect with others with similar experiences
- Speak out and share your story (if you want to)
- Build your leadership skills
- Learn how to embrace your inner advocate
- Learn ways you can advocate to benefit your community
- Access ongoing yarn up groups and mentoring to support your leadership journey
Parking is available onsite and morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch will be provided.
