Join us in celebrating the opening of our August/September exhibitions for 2025!

There will be an Auslan interpreter at the opening night.

We will also have an opening performance at 7 pm by artist Jingwei Bu. Jingwei will perform during the opening event to bring a final gesture to the installation. The performance unfolds in two parts: the first is a silent, object-less reenactment of a traditional tea ceremony: a meditative retrial focusing on gesture and presence. The second part involves the pouring of a jar of tea from above onto the paper tower, marking a release and transformation within the work. The total length of the performance is about 15 minutes long. After this performance, Michaela Bear who has written a catalogue essay for Jingwei's exhibition, will read the poem style essay.
