Firstport in Orkney: Business for Good

We'd love to see you at Business for Good!

Firstport is hosting this free informal event in Orkney to bring together local organisations, partners and people interested in community-led change, and we’d love you to join us.

What to expect

Business for Good is a chance to explore how social enterprises are making a difference in communities and why this approach is growing across Scotland.

Through real-life examples and local perspectives, the session will demonstrate how organisations can use business to address social challenges, strengthen communities and create lasting impact.

During the event, you'll:

• learn what social enterprise is and how it works

• hear inspiring examples of social enterprises creating positive change

• explore the different ways organisations can balance purpose and profit

• meet local organisations and people interested in community-led change

• discover opportunities and ideas relevant to Orkney

• hear about the support offered by Firstport

• ask questions and take part in conversations about social impact and community sustainability.

We’d really like to hear from people already working in Orkney. We're keen to hear what works well, where there might be gaps in support, and what opportunities and challenges are for social enterprises locally.
