Fishing and Beach Play
Event description
Join Healthy Cities Australia and Play Illawarra for a fun outdoor afternoon of play and learning with beach fishing! This is an event for the whole family, including beach games and community connection.
Children will be invited to try beach fishing and learn skills of baiting, casting and reeling in fish! For those who want to learn to fish, one hour Fishing with a Local Sessions with George are available at 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30 pm. Children will have a water briefing session and fish in pairs while learning skills (most suitable for children 8 plus).
Tickets are required ONLY for those attending a fishing session. The games and play event will be on 3-6.30pm to allow whole family to attend and enjoy our beautiful playgrounds and beach together.
