Description
This event is for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people age 18+
This is workshop #2 in a series of 5 Fitness Workshops designed for the trans community.
The Fitness Workshops series covers things the trans community actually wants from movement, body autonomy, navigating gym spaces, HRT and training, mental health and resilience, and building sustainable fitness habits for the long term.
You are welcome to book as many workshops in this series as you like. No need to attend all of them. Choose the ones that you want.
Fitness Workshop 2: Building an Affirming Gym Program
Most training programs are written for a body and a goal that assumes something about the reader that isn't true. This workshop is about writing (or adapting) a program around where someone actually is, whether that's working with dysphoria around certain movements or mirrors, training through HRT changes, building strength for affirmation surgery, or just wanting a plan that doesn't ignore reality to hit a generic template.
Team T Gens will walk you through our approach to programming step by step, leaving everyone with the tools to build a plan that works with their body, their goals, and their own personal season of transition. All experience levels welcome.
