Five Bays and ReLeaf Lake Mac Blackalls NTD Preparation Morning
Event description
Help the Five Bays Sustainable Neighbourhood to re-green an urban site in Blackalls park. The project is part of the Sustainable Neighbourhoods ReLeaf Lake Mac initiative to increase urban canopy cover, support native wildlife and reduce urban heat impacts.
We'll be preparing the site for planting by sheet mulching with cardboard and spreading mulch, ready for National Tree Day on 31 July. https://treeday.planetark.org/...
All participants must wear closed, sturdy shoes.
We also recommend bringing gloves, and wearing long sleeves and pants.
If you have them, please bring a rake, shovel, or wheelbarrow.
Please register by 21 July to help us organise the day.
To keep our community safe, we will encourage social distancing and good hygiene throughout the event. Please do not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or are otherwise required to isolate (Covid positive or close contact).
