Five Films For Freedom
Five Films. One hour. Unlimited perspective.
If you’re curious about stories that push past the usual frames, Five Films For Freedom is worth an hour of your time. Every year the British Council teams up with BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival to share powerful queer stories from around the world – free, online and for everyone.
AUT, in partnership with the British Council New Zealand and the Pacific, is hosting a live screening at the city campus so you can watch the films with friends, meet new people and be part of something bigger than a movie night. The event will include panel kōrero, others keep it simple with films, food and informal chats. Either way, you’ll walk out with something to think about.
Come along, take up space and support global LGBTQIA+ voices. It’s only an hour, but it hits deeper than that.
