Flagstaff Hill Master Plan Community Consultation
Event description
Council is preparing a Master Plan and Business Case to examine the future use of Flagstaff Hill.
We’re asking the community to have input in the development of these important documents.
We are seeking feedback via a short community survey, which is open now and closes on March 31. This survey can be completed online at www.yoursaywarrnambool.com.au. We also have hard copies available at the front desk at Flagstaff Hill or the Council offices at 25 Liebig Street.
We’re pleased to report that with large-scale COVID-19 disruptions hopefully behind us, that visitor numbers at Flagstaff Hill have rebounded significantly, and have even eclipsed pre-COVID figures.
There were 11,182 visitors between Boxing Day 2022 and Australia Day 2023, up from 9165 in 2018-2019 and 9751 in 2019-2020.
With that being the case, we know that there’s more to be done to help the Flagstaff Hill precinct be the best that it can be, and we would appreciate your insights as we seek to develop a Business Case and Master Plan for the site.
We will also be holding drop-in sessions at Flagstaff Hill on Wednesday March 22 (1pm-3pm and 4pm-7pm) and Thursday March 23 (8am-12pm) where staff will be available for discussions.
To give residents the best possible opportunity to engage with us in a suitable manner, we have created various time slots that we would like you to book in to. We have allocated 20 – 30 minutes for each time slot.
In the meantime, if you had any questions at all, please get in touch with me on 0429 174 123 or pthompson@warrnambool.vic.gov.au
