Since 2014 Local First has been running the highly successful "Move Your Money" campaign. This has helped reinvest billions of dollars back into our communities and given many local businesses and residents access to much needed capital that otherwise may not be available. It's a common theme to think bigger is better, but we know money held in BIG banks leaves our communities, while money in Local Banks and Credit Unions don't. Unlike the BIG guys they reinvest in the communities they serve and help keep our local businesses thriving!

Right now, 86% of Arizona’s deposits sit in out-of-state banks—meaning local businesses often struggle to access the capital they need. Our Move Your Money initiative is changing that. It’s about putting your dollars to work right here in Arizona by building relationships with local banks and credit unions that are truly invested in your success. Did you know community banks fund roughly 60% of all small business loans across the country, despite only holding around 15% of our country's assets?

This event will be in partnership with The Credit Union Coalition, Market of Dreams, OneAZ, Desert Financial, Coconino Federal and AZ Central Credit Union.
