Presenting Flamenco to Latin Jazz; Melbourne’s much loved SOLQUEMIA TRIO returns to Canberra for a special performance Live at The Polo!

Back by popular demand, SOLQUEMIA brings fresh inspiration, soulful rhythms and the beautiful sensitivity of the Spanish guitar. Enjoy a night filled with classic works by the greats of Flamenco & Latin Jazz including Paco de Lucia, Josemi Carmona, Chick Corea as well as original compositions by lead guitarist Alejandro Flórez.

Since 2020, Alejandro’s steady guitar partnership with Luke Koszanski has flourished into a brilliant soundscape of dynamic contrasting solos, evocative melodies and intricate harmonies to bring out the best of their Flamenco guitars. Featuring Aya Kitaoji on voice and percussion, the trio come together to present the very best of acoustic guitar; a feel-good evening of pure groove from the deep roots of Flamenco to the infinite creative spirit of Latin Jazz, here is a band with a story to tell through their musical skill.
